US Cities from 1979-2010 exposed to innovative knowledge flows experience higher long-run firm entry. Causal identification is driven by knowledge in computer-related technologies.
After rice harvests, female marriage age decreases and marriage rates increase. I develop a marriage model with differentiated female marriage markets to explain these phenomena through the effect of seasonal income. Seasonal income within agricultural societies has a long-run effect on female human capital stocks.
Using PSID data, I survey a variety of panel data estimators and compare these estimates from a Mincer model.
